The Costs of IVF

  • By rmami

Navigating In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Costs

When making a decision about fertility treatments, one very important element to take into consideration is the costs that can be associated with procedures.  Cost is the biggest deterrent for patients to go through fertility treatment because it can be costly. Unfortunately, many insurance plans do not have fertility benefits, which mean many patients must absorb the entire cost of treatment. At RMA of Michigan, we work with you to help you understand insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs.

Our team at RMA of Michigan is dedicated to helping you achieve your dreams of parenthood.  Through this blog, we will explain some of your financial options with us.

Understanding Costs Associated with IVF

As with any procedure, there may be varying costs for your own IVF treatment based on the amount of medications that you require, whether intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is needed, the number of IVF cycles that you go through, and finally, any amount that your insurance company will pay towards IVF.  Our team of financial experts will help guide you through the maze of understanding your own medical coverage, and can help project the costs you will incur for treatment.

If a patient’s insurance coverage does not include IVF treatments, then we offer some other options for patients to consider.  We offer a multi-cycle discount program, which allows for patients to pay discounted rates for two fresh and two frozen IVF cycles.  We also offer the Assure IVF Refund Program, which enables eligible patients to pay a fixed, discounted fee for up to three fresh and three frozen cycles of IVF. If they do not have a live birth they receive 80-100% of the program fees back. In addition, RMA of Michigan works in conjunction with medical loan companies that can help an individual pay for treatments.
